About the sculpture:
THE INSPIRATION – Porsche won Le Mans for the first time in 1970 with the sleek 917k. The super lightweight wireframe chassis is celebrated in Ambrose’s detailed sculptural maze.
THE SCULPTURE – Jonny Ambrose’s digitally designed sculpture is a stylised polygonal design, 3d printed in one single 40cm long piece, an elongated 1/12th scale.
THE LOOK – The result is a lightweight, fragile looking sculpture. With detailed representative chassis, it creates a bold and playful 3d maze of interweaving lines to look into and wonder at.
